It began for me, the perfection, of Lisa's Brownie, and the genesis of Haute Chocolate, Inc., in 1979, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
My quest to perfect a unique spin on Chocolate Truffles, and, my response to a challenge to bake the best Fudge Brownie, in a local "Bakeoff" Contest, had a confluence.
I decided to open a Chocolate Boutique in Cincinnati, Ohio, that would feature extraordinarily conceptual, creative, Chocolate Confectionery. I knew that I could not possibly support a Chocolate Boutique concept, with just two products?
At that point, I decided, in my business planning to perfect three products! I, to say the least, was surrounded by a few naysayers.
Well, Chocolate lovers, today Haute Chocolate boasts over 60 products that we make or bake, daily, in our dual kitchens here at Haute Chocolate.
From the Haute Chocolate bakery we feature seasonal and traditional spins on, Lisa's Double Chocolate Chip Fudge Brownies. Lisa's Brownie is available, daily, in seven delectable flavors and delightful formats… We have also expanded our bakery line to include some very honorable, traditional, national, and international, delicious cookie and cake recipes.
From the Freestyle Chocolate confectionery we feature our seasonal and traditional spins on hand dipped, caramels, pretzels, (we have at least a dozen different diversions), cookies, and that third product I perfected to launch Haute in 1979, peanut butter Buckeyes!
For those of you, NOT familiar with Buckeyes, it is a heavenly combo of peanut butter, Semisweet Chocolate and other ordinary ingredients, lifted by us to a whole new level of Confectionery consciousness. This product sets the paradigm for you peanut butter and Chocolate lovers.
The word Haute, is a derivation of the French word (Haut) meaning, the highest, the best, and, the most sincere
We started out in a six hundred square foot storefront, we now in our current facility have almost twenty nine hundred square feet, combined production and retail. When we made our move to the larger expanded facility, in 1994, we also decided to show case and honor some of the United States premier, multi generational Confectionery lines, we have enjoyed over the years in our experience.
We offer a full line of Classic Confectionery at Haute Chocolate. Nothin' wrong with those finely crafted "boxed" Chocolate ,Cream and Caramel recipes from our past. Here at Haute, we like to think inside and outside the "box of Chocolates"…If you ever have the pleasure of your visit to our kitchens, we exercise a very liberal sampling policy, especially among our guests and staff…

We have been shipping our edible, delectable and quite shippable goodies, offered in our Brochure, since, 1989. Our Brochure was born of our customer's desire and interest in sending our signature products all over the world in a sampler format. We answered the request by designing sampler gift shippers which feature exclusively Lisa's Brownies, or a combination of our Bakery and Freestyle Chocolate confections.
Oh, yes, last but certainly not least. Our guests and fans all over the world, ask us about our logo the Pig, and our name, Haute Chocolate.
Our pigs name is Reginald. He was inspired by the Truffle pigs in Europe who "snout" or "sniff" out the best truffles for culinary preparation. Haute's Chocolate version of the Truffle was the inspiration for our iconic Reginald He is so special and memorable that he can be "sniffed" out in our packaging and in the special presentation of our fine products…
